EBA&D has the unique capability to provide a one-stop-shop for all critical energetic manufacturing, LAP (Load, Assemble, and Pack), and testing operations. Our team is prepared with the necessary experience and secured facilities to execute a low risk program and stands ready to support the integration of survivability solutions into a robust manufacturing process utilizing approved manufacturing and quality standards.
How you want it, right where you need it.EBA&D has the buildings and facilities in place to meet your production requirements.

The plant’s operations conform to all Federal, State, and local regulations, including all DoD regulations applicable to explosive manufacturing and storage.
The manufacturing process for the PBX explosive begins at the mixing operation where material is introduced to a mixer to combine all the materials. Upon completion, the material is submitted for quality control testing.
Once accepted and released, the material is consolidated in the compaction press and then is extruded into the required width and thickness. The process utilizes a Kanban system to facilitate a pull system throughout the process.

Utilizing EBA&D's existing Waterjet cutter, the filler material coupons are cut to shape. Maximizing both product quality and process efficiency, the cutter is located adjacent to the LAP area, facilitating a one-piece flow and a smooth transfer of material from one process step to the next.
EBA&D has designed and set up an automated Reactive Armor LAP facility to support reactive armor programs. EBA&D designed the module assembly and packaging cells for optimum production needs. This allows EBA&D to reduce work in process, reducing the cost of manufacturing the product, and minimizing waste.
The process steps for module assembly include:
