Description

Linear Shaped Charge Assemblies (LSCA) represent an efficient way to achieve reliable cutting of metallic and non-metallic structures. Mounting provisions and explosive initiation manifolds are typically included with the assembly to ensure ease of system level integration and reliable initiation. Chargeholders are utilized in the assembly to ensure that optimum performance (appropriate standoff from the LSC to the target material) is achieved. LSCA can be designed to cut through cylinders (such as a missile or launch vehicle stage), along flat plates (such as a missile skin) or along complex airframe surfaces.
