Since its beginnings, EBA&D's commitment to quality has been based on the high-reliability performance demands of the industries it serves. Rooted in the principles of MIL-Q-9858, NASA, and Department of Energy quality system standards, EBA&D has evolved and tailored its quality management system to meet the international and aerospace industry recognized models, ISO9001:2000 and AS9100. To support these models, continually improve its system, and better satisfy its customers, EBA&D is actively expanding its capabilities in state-of-the-art progressive-quality disciplines such as Lean/Six Sigma.

Consistent with the ISO/AS model, EBA&D's quality management system is a process-based structure built on the following elements: Quality Management System; Management Responsibility; Resource Management; Product Realization; Measurement, Analysis and Improvement.

In November 2003, EBA&D successfully completed the transition from ISO9001:1994 to ISO9001:2000, with an extension in scope to include AS9100 quality management system requirements. In the registrar's certification assessment report it was concluded:

"[The] Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company quality system is a well-established and organized system, based on sound principles and leadership.... The company's vision, policies and ability to understand its customer requirements and needs will ensure its ability to be recognized as a quality-driven organization, with a workforce that demonstrates an unrelenting drive for the highest quality products and services."
